The RNLI Branch for Seaview, St Helens & Brading Haven will be holding an inaugural Art Fair, hosted by the Seaview Yacht Club on Saturday April 15 2023, from 11:00 to 15:00, to promote Isle of Wight Artists and raise money for the RNLI Charity.

Sea View Yacht Club provides the backdrop for this event and will be open to members and non-members to browse and enjoy the fair.

The centrepiece of this inaugural spring event will be the silent auction of a dozen pieces of art donated by local artists. All proceeds of the auction will go to the RNLI.

In addition to the exhibition of artists' work, the event will host local caricature artist Adam Brown, a children's art activity corner, face painting, and the backdrop of The Club's bar and restaurant.

Amongst the lots for auction will be water colour paintings with a marine, beach or coastal focus; acrylics and oil paintings with similar themes.

In addition, guests will also see arial photographs of Seaview and other villages, special edition posters of the Mermaids class keel boats based in Seaview, photographs of a Seaview Dinghy, on its morning at sunset...

Even if you don't win your favourite piece at the auction, you will have an opportunity to commission or order your own boat photographed, or commission a painting of something dear to you, such as a grandchild, or pet!

All proceeds will go to the RNLI, whose work rescuing people at sea, has particular relevance for all of us who love the Isle of Wight.

Come and help us raise the money the lifeboats need to keep us all safe.
